It’s Monday. Had a really nice Mom’s Day yesterday. The skies cleared up by late morning so we were able to have a small cookout with a few others in the family. Once again the food was fantastic and I had way too much to eat. The best part is she had a great time being with everyone and that’s what mattered most.

That was Sunday. My Saturday was not a good day. Our cat, Marilynn, hasn’t been doing well for the past several weeks. Her health had declined rapidly in the past week and we had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep. She was a part of the family for 16 years so it wasn’t easy to let her go. But I believe that no animal should suffer, so we knew that it was time. I only wish we could offer the same choice to people with terminal diseases or debilitating conditions.

It’s Sunday! Once again it’s Mother’s Day. As I say every year, if you’re lucky enough to still have your mom around, be sure to give her a call or stop by to let her know that you appreciate her. 

My mom just wanted my sister and I to come over for a small cookout today. Nothing fancy. My girlfriend is heading down-state to spend the day with her mom, sisters & brother. In typical Illinois fashion, the weather is supposed to be cold and rainy all day. So… I guess we’ll be doing our outdoor stuff indoors!

It’s Saturday! The Woodworking Art Youtube channel is back with another incredible hand-carved vehicle. This time it’s a 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray! It took roughly a month to carve and features working suspension, doors, hood, rear hatch, removable roof panel, and fully detailed interior and engine bay. The workmanship and attention to detail is simply stunning. Check out the video to follow along its creation from a block of wood to a magnificent replica of the all new mid-engine Corvette!
