Skywatch

It’s Friday! I suppose it’s about time to get shopping for Christmas gifts. Anyone that knows me already knows how much I *hate* doing this. Sure, buying online greatly reduces the headache of tracking down gifts, but it’s still a frustrating pain in the ass for me because I hate trying to figure out what others want. For the most part, the people I have to buy for are adults who are more than capable of buying what they want and therefor already have everything they want. I think this whole Christmas thing would be much better by getting gifts for kids only.

I’m finishing up my last bag of candy corn and getting ready to switch over to holiday M&Ms.

The short film featured today is called “Skywatch” and has been six years in the making. It was written & directed by Colin Levy and funded by a Kickstarter campaign. It’s a sci-fi story of two outcast teens that hack into a drone delivery system to pull a prank on their neighbor and accidentally crash-land a dangerous prototype, finding themselves entangled in a life-and-death conspiracy. It stars young actors Uriah Shelton (13 Reasons Why, Looking For Alaska) and Zach Callison (Steven Universe, The Goldbergs), and also features an appearance by Jude Law. Colin Levy has worked on several Pixar films, but decided to quit to work full-time on his proof of concept “Skywatch” project. It runs only 10 minutes, so kick back for a few and check it out, I think you’ll like it.

Oh, normally on Friday’s I like to feature two babes instead of just one.  My apologies to everyone because I just couldn’t do that today.
