Cuda

It’s Tuesday. There’s a chill in the air and for many it’s time to put the toys away for the winter. But before that happens, I’d like to feature another reader’s ride. This beautiful 1970 ‘Cuda AAR belongs to Steve, who purchased it used back in ’73 for $2,200. There were only 2,724 of them made so Steve made the wise decision to keep it as close to stock as possible. It’s a timeless piece of automotive history that looks just as badass today as it did back then. My only complaint—the model is not nearly naked enough!

Hey Keep..this is Steve from Upstate NY. You asked for car pics so here is mine. This is my first car and I still own it. Bought it used in 1973 for $2200 with 48,000 miles on it 2 weeks before I graduated high school. Payments were $79.80/mo. for 3 years. Grandmother co-signed for the loan. It was like OMG how am I going to make that kind of money???  $1.85 / hr job.  Well I did thank God. Fair to say I know every nut and bolt on the car. Mostly original…of course new paint in ’06. 1970…that is the only year they made that particular model. AAR (All American Racer) ‘cuda….2,724 of them. Sister car to the 1970 T/A Challenger.  Supposedly only around 1100 left. 340 Six-Pak car. Ahh the 70’s…everyone could buy cars like this one…and a lot of people did.  No that is not my wife or GF…I wish. -Steve
