Progress

It’s Monday. Last week was not a good week. My girlfriend was exposed to a person with Covid-19 who wasn’t wearing a mask. While that person got extremely ill, my girlfriend spent over a week in quarantine at a hotel fearing that she had been infected. Fortunately the symptoms didn’t  materialize and she was cleared by two separate tests each showing negative results. That’s a week I don’t ever want to go through again.

For the first time in 9 months there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. The first shipments of the Pfizor vaccine shipped out Sunday and should arrive today at storage facilities and hospitals across the United States. Doctors and nurses that have been sacrificing their own lives treating the infected are deservedly the first to receive the vaccine. Then seniors and those with medical vulnerabilities will follow. And finally the general pubic. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the virus that has killed and disrupted far too many lives.

I’m just looking forward to a less dramatic week.
