It’s Tuesday. After three recounts, 59 humiliating court losses across 7 states, and 2 Supreme Court losses, Trump’s attempts to spread false claims of widespread fraud in all of the battleground states has come to an end—finally—yesterday when Joe Biden was formally elected as the next president of the United States by members of the electoral college. This embarrassing 4 year long shit-show of lies and outright misinformation will officially come to an end January 20th, 2021.
Judges, including conservatives and Trump’s own appointees, have repeatedly rejected the president’s attempts to throw out millions of votes in order to cling to power. The fact is, the Trump legal team provided no substantial evidence to back up their extraordinary claims of fraud. Even his own Attorney General William Barr has said, “To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.” And as an added bonus, he’s out the door as well.
Deep State Conspiracy, you say? Okay. Clarence Thomas, Stephen Breyer, Samuel Alito, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, John G. Roberts, Jr., Brian Kemp, Doug Ducey, the FBI, the CIA, and the entire state Republican parties of Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania (among others) would all have to be part of the conspiracy.
