A First Amateur Goodness

It’s Wednesday. Today I have some amateur goodness from a reader who’s new to my site. He asks for mercy when viewing his first amateur offering, but I don’t think that’ll be necessary. It’s a good solid photo, so go ahead and check it out. I think we all can look forward to seeing what comes next. Enjoy.

Keeper, I am a new fan of your web site. I found it by accident [long story!] but I quickly became an admirer of your daily musings, jokes, babes and the “amateur goodness” you occasionally show. I have a submission of my own [wife] to offer but I should say that its a total first for me. I really hope to improve the quality in the future, so please show a little of mercy! -Anonymous

Say It Isn’t So!

It’s Tuesday. Ouch! One of the pre-production C8 Corvette Stingray’s was involved in a multi-car crash in California. It happened on CA Route 120 between Moccasin and Groveland near Yosemite, California. The Stingray was apparently part of a rally and took a turn too wide, clipping the rear wheel of an oncoming SUV.  Aside from the Corvette driver’s pride, it’s unknown if there were any injuries.

Good and Bad

It’s Monday. Got together with a friend on Friday night and we went out to the Grundy County Speedway in Morris Illinois, for some short-track racing. We had a blast watching drivers mix it up in Late Model, Mid Am, Street Stock & Pure Stock classes. I still love Nascar, but all the rules and restriction take a lot of the fun out of racing. That’s definitely not the case with these guys! The races are quick, usually under fifteen minutes, and they move fast. Even better, it’s extremely inexpensive at only $12 to get in. We had a damn good time and hope to get back out there before the end of the season.

On Saturday I took advantage of the beautiful weather to Roll out the Vette and clean it up. My girlfriend used it a few days prior and managed to get it covered in gravel dust.  Got my tunes going and spent the afternoon in the driveway getting it all pretty again. After that it was time to get back out to Morris to grab some dinner and check out their Cruise Night car show. And what a show it was! It was packed with all kinds of automotive goodness and plenty of people there to check it all out. It was easily my favorite show this year and I’ll feature some of the photos I took later this week.

And then there was the bad. We lost a life-long friend of our family Sunday morning to pancreatic cancer. I don’t know what to say. This really sucks and it’s happening to far too many people. Not just pancreatic cancer but all forms of cancer.
