GM Employees Jailed for Racing C8 Corvettes on the Street

It’s Saturday! D’oh! Two GM employees were caught street racing two new C8 Corvettes in Bowling Green, Kentucky. According to Kentucky’s WNKY, Alexander Thim, 27, was caught driving one Corvette at 120 mph, and Mark Derkatz, 30, at 100 mph; a third Corvette on the scene was “not participating in the racing.” Local news outlets report that Thim and Derkatz posted $1,000 bail and are scheduled for a pretrial hearing at Warren District Court on February 18.

Fishy Surprise

It’s Friday! I got a bunch of email yesterday in response to my childhood dentist horror story. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who had an asshole dentist back then, as many of you spoke of similar experiences. That sucks. I know if I had a kid I wouldn’t want him to go through what I did. These days they have multiple options for sedation but in most occasions a single shot of Novocaine gets the job done nicely.

No plans of yet for this weekend. We’re supposed to be in for more freezing rain and the horrid white stuff for both Friday & Saturday. Might be a good time to stay indoors, watch some movies, and make some soup.

Still no Nascar. Damn. I’m greatly looking forward to Speedweeks kicking things off next month.

Any fishing fans out there? Check out the video featured today to see what these guys find in the belly of a Norther Pike they caught. Never seen that happen before!

Double babes & double jokes every Friday!

Gone Baby Gone

It’s Thursday. I’m a big baby when it comes to tooth pain. It comes from my childhood dentist who was a huge asshole that refused to use any kind of anesthetic, even on little kids. And as a kid I had a lot of cavities which made every trip to the dentist a nightmare.

We moved when I was 12 and our family got a new dentist. I was still apprehensive to get any kind of dental work done but our new dentist always made sure my jaw was totally numb so I wouldn’t feel any pain. He’s still my dentist and to this day I’ve never had any pain from anything that I’ve had done.

Why all the dental discussion? Today I had to go to an oral surgeon to get a cracked tooth removed. When we were first talking about the procedure, I was damn sure that I wanted to get knocked out. However, the Doc argued that the whole procedure would only last about fifteen minutes and assured me that it would be painless with only Novocaine. In a very uncharacteristic move for me, I agreed. They numbed me up and the whole thing took only 20 minutes and I was outta there. No pain. Just how it should be.
