It’s Monday. We got some of the horrid white stuff Saturday morning, but then Sunday it got up to 60 degrees. And it looks like the warmer temperatures will continue into the week ahead. It’s still February, right? Maybe that groundhog was right after all.

It’s funny watching everyone in the neighborhood when we get the first nice day in late winter. Everybody is outside. People are washing their cars, cleaning out the garage, straightening up the yard, anything at all just to be outside. People are out in their shorts, kids are out on their bikes, and everyone is in a good mood. Can’t wait for summer!

They delivered our new bed Sunday afternoon. It has a remote that allows me to raise my head and feet. It also has vibration and lumbar adjustment. The girlfriend also has a remote and can adjust hers independently of mine. Fancy. Looking forward to trying it out tonight.

It’s Friday! Warm, but cold again. We’ve been enjoying extremely mild temperatures lately but that is supposed to end over the weekend.

Anyone buy a mattress lately? Ours was getting old, roughly eighteen years, so we decided it was time to get a new one. We checked out a couple different places and quickly came to the realization that mattresses are fucking expensive! I had a Sleep Number bed back in 2005 and it wasn’t cheap, but I expected that because it was unlike any other mattress because you could adjust its firmness to whatever you liked. These days all mattresses are ridiculously expensive. Tempur Pedic? $4000 and up. Sealy Posturepedic? $3000 and up. Purple? $3000 and up. Then you have all the different types, like Hybrid, Memory Foam, and Innerspring. And what type of base do you want? Let’s just say it was an education in all things mattress. We decided to get a Purple Hybrid on my side, a Sealy Hybrid on hers, and two power adjustable frames with head & feet separate articulations. It’s quite a setup that is due to arrive on Sunday. And to help pay for it, I plan to sell some limited edition, Chinese-made, ugly-ass, over priced, hideously spray-painted sneakers to all my lucky fans! (Inquire within)

It’s Thursday. An Amazon van got hit by a train, splitting it in half. The driver was not hurt. In fact, he’s seems rather chill for someone nearly killed. This video shows a new angle of the accident that recently became available. You can see the driver in the cab as he turns onto the tracks and then—KAPOW!
