It’s Monday. We got some of the horrid white stuff over the weekend. It wasn’t much, just enough to cover the grass for a while and then it melted away. Here in Illinois we’ve had a lot of rain over the winter that should’ve been snow, if not for our mild temperatures. Not that I mind, of course.
I’m having some serious Sunday entertainment withdrawal symptoms lately. No Bears and still no Nascar. My only defense has been gaming. I’ve started career mode in Dirt Rally 2 and though it’s difficult as hell, I’ve been enjoying it very much.
I realize that I’m late to the party, but the girlfriend and I started watching The End of Us and White Lotus on HBO over the weekend. They’re both highly rated but with so much content out there, there’s just not enough time to watch everything. I thought that The End of Us was very well done, but I immediately drew comparisons to The Walking Dead. I really liked TWD and followed it through all 11 seasons. However, I felt that it was a victim of its own success by being stretched out far too long. Stranger Things has the same problem. I really hope that doesn’t happen with The End of Us. White Lotus was also good. We both saw a little of Fantasy Island in it, but I look forward to seeing how all the different characters and storylines progress.
