Sacrilege?

It’s Tuesday. Are you ready for an all electric Ford Mustang SUV? That’s right, a Mustang SUV! Sacrilegious you say? It’s called the Mustang Mach-E and it will be available next year as a 2021 model. As you might expect some die-hard Mustang owners aren’t exactly thrilled that their beloved Mustang name will be placed upon a SUV. Hell, I’m not much of a Mustang fan and even I don’t agree with the decision to use the Mustang name. But it’s all electric and part of a new direction that Ford is taking with their vehicle lineup. Ready or not, it’s here and it’s a Mustang. Check out the video featured above for all the details.

Kyle Wins!

It’s Monday. The 2019 Nascar season has concluded and Kyle Busch not only won at Homestead-Miami but he also got the Championship. This is his second Nascar championship, having won his first back in 2015. After crossing the finish line he was oddly quiet on the radio. Even after getting out of the car he was extremely low-key, answering the interviewer’s questions in almost a whisper. Very strange, especially for him.

I had a decent weekend. Didn’t do a whole lot on Saturday but Sunday had the race and a very nice family dinner at Antico Posto in Oakbrook. And then there was the Bears/Chargers game. As I write this the second half just got going and it appears the Bears are just now waking up after scoring nothing in the first half. Not sure how the rest is going to go but I plan to kick back, take it easy, and just watch.

Homestead-Miami

It’s Sunday! Well, this is it. The entire 2019 Nascar Cup season comes down to this, the final race this afternoon at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. After eleven playoff races the field of contenders has been slowly reduced to four; Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr, and Kyle Busch. Each of these four men have a shot at winning the Championship but only one can come out on top.

I have a family dinner to attend later this afternoon, so I’ll only be able to watch the first 2/3rds of the race. I’ll have to listen to the remainder in my car on SiriusXM radio while on our way to the restaurant.

As for my prediction for who comes out on top, I’d  love to see Stewart-Haas driver Kevin Harvick get his second Championship. So let’s fire up those engines one last time in 2019!
