The Agony of Defeat

It’s Monday. Congratz to the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans for their Super Bowl 54 win! Both teams seemed evenly matched which made for an exciting game to watch. KC managed to once again come from behind and take the win. The final score was 20-31.

And then there were the commercials. There were some good ones, but I’d have to say my favorite was Jeep’s Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. The Mountain Dew spoof of The Shining with Brian Cranston was pretty good, too.

Now that football is over, that means it’s almost time to kick off the 2020 Nascar season! Speedweeks begin this Friday with the first preseason race, the Busch Clash at Daytona, taking place on Sunday afternoon! I’m definitely looking forward to that!

The Big Game

It’s Sunday! The day of the big game has arrived—Super Bowl 54. As many of you already know, football usually falls off of my radar when the Chicago Bears get eliminated from the playoffs every year. So, I’m not really interested in either of the teams involved in tonight’s game, but nevertheless I always enjoy watching the big game anyway.

So, it’s time to bust out the beer & munchies and enjoy!

Rigged?

It’s Saturday! Just saw that the impeachment trial against our president is basically over because Mitch McConnell successfully blocked witnesses from being called. How can you hold something as important as a presidential impeachment trial without witnesses? That’s not a trial. What’s wrong with allowing each side to prepare their case, gather witnesses, present evidence, and let it play out? If he’s not guilty then everyone moves on. This way we’ll never know and that bothers me. Shouldn’t it bother every American citizen?
