It’s Sunday! It’s that time of the year again when we honor our Mom. It doesn’t have to be much, just let her know that you appreciate everything she’s done. Some flowers, a card, or even just a phone call goes a long way.
I got some flowers and I’m heading out to a local country club for brunch with my Mom and a few others in the family. We used to do this every year but this will be our first time back after skipping the last two years due to the pandemic. Some good food and family—should be a good day.

Too Much Food
It’s Monday. Had a nice Mother’s Day brunch with mom and the family Sunday afternoon out at their country club. It was a buffet so it was easy to load your plate up with two or three scoops of just about everything. And then after you eat far more than thought humanly possible, you notice the dessert table filled with a variety of tasty pastries, cookies, brownies, and cheesecake. The end result of all that food? A huge fully stuffed gut.
It’s hours later and my belly is still stuffed. Good thing I recorded the race because that’s about all I can do right now is sit back and watch. A nap would be nice, too.
