It’s Monday. Happy belated Father’s Day to all the Dads out here. The air in our neighborhood was filled with the smell of grilled goodness on Sunday afternoon as people gathered for Father’s Day get-togethers. I spent the afternoon with family at my step-dad’s for a damn tasty dinner. We had salamini sausage and pork ribs on the grill with baked potatoes, corn, baked beans, and some angel food cake with fresh strawberries. Nobody left hungry. Actually, it’s over 5 hours later and I’m still full.
And damn, I thought the Nascar Cup Series was in Nashville yesterday, but it turns out that it’s this coming Sunday. And after that, on July 2nd, is the Chicago street race! I’m really looking forward to that!

Ludacris Speed
It’s Tuesday. For those of you not familiar with the Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) races are an annual motorcycle racing event run on the Isle of Man in May/June. The event is often called one of the most dangerous racing events in the world because competitors reach speeds in excess of 200 MPH. Not surprisingly, many participants have died. Just to wrap your head around what 200 MPH is like, check out this short video of Steve Plater, two-time TT winner reporting trackside.
