Amateur Week-long Goodness: Day 3

It’s Wednesday. In addition to working remotely these days, I’ve also been gaming a lot. And not just ordinary gaming, no sir, I’ve been retro-gaming! I bought my first computer as a kid back in 1983. It was a new Apple //e with a green screen, duo floppy drives, dot matrix printer and two games—Choplifter and Wizardry.

My friends and I played the hell out of those games and so many others, but as a D&D fan it was Wizardry that was special to me. Through the use of very minimal graphics, it was basically D&D on a computer. And the best part was you didn’t need a bunch of people to play. You simply booted it up, created your party of characters, and down into the dungeon you went in search of gold, magic items, and a variety of nasty creatures. So, when a buddy gave me a copy for the PC, I ran it through a DOS emulator and played the thing from start to finish over the course of several weeks. And it was an absolute blast! It put me right back in my bedroom when I was a kid and brought back all kinds of good memories. It was just so damn much fun. Now, the dilemma—do I get started on the sequels…?

Okay, as promised, here’s the third amateur photo in the week-long amateur goodness collection. Enjoy!
