It’s Tuesday. We got home yesterday afternoon after spending the past week out on the east coast. We spent the majority of our time in Maine, but along the way we visited the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. The Hall of Fame was a blast. They had a huge Woodstock exhibit which was really cool. The Beatles display was also impressive. Other favorites of mine were The Doors, Def Leppard, and ELO.
In Maine we spent most of our time in Portland and Newport. We were lucky to catch Portland’s fireworks display on the 4th. It was easily the best I’ve ever seen. The local architecture and coastline were captivating and beautiful. And then there was the seafood—an absolute abundance of incredible seafood (especially lobster) and local beer. We ate very, very well during our stay.
In Newport, Maine, we loved checking out the Ocean View area and the sea walk trail. Fort Adams was also really cool. And again, the seafood was incredible.
It was a great trip and we had a fantastic time. Thanks to all those who sent in restaurant suggestions and cool places to go. It’s time to get back into the swing of things and… back to work.
