It’s Monday. Well, damn. Had a good weekend but now the Chicagoland area is facing another round of the horrid white stuff as temperatures plummet into the teens. I blame the Canadians and their damn frigid air that’s leaking southward. It’s just to early to expect me to be able to deal with this kind of weather. Meanwhile, down in Florida they’re enjoying beautiful mild weather in the low 80s! Damn.

The good news is the Bears finally won a game. The bad news is it was against the Lions, one of the worst teams in the NFL. I also caught the Nascar race in Phoenix. This was the second-to-last race of the 2019 season and Denny Hamlin took the checkers. With only one race remaining, Denny advances to the Homestead-Miami Speedway to race for the Cup along with Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick. I’m definitely looking forward to that!

Don’t forget that today is Veterans Day, a day we honor our military veterans. As a tribute to all those who served in United States Armed Forces, I’ve expanded the Babe of the Day section to 50—one for all 50 states!

It’s Saturday! When a school bus is stopped on the road, my first reaction is to slow down. I then immediately look for the stop arm and if it’s extended, I come to a full stop. Why is this so difficult for some drivers?
