It’s Wednesday. Well, we’re almost there. If you haven’t gotten your Christmas shopping done then you might want to get moving. Unless, of course, you’re one of those hardcore procrastinators that enjoy the challenge of waiting until after 5pm on Christmas Eve. In that case, no worries, you got plenty of time!

It’s Tuesday. With none of the horrid white stuff in the foreseeable future, it looks like those of us in Illinois will be having a green Christmas this year. I’m no fan of winter but I have to admit that I wouldn’t mind some snow on Christmas Eve. Of course, I’d want it all gone immediately after Christmas. and if the temperature could then rocket up to around 85 degrees, that would be perfect!

It’s Monday. We’re in the final stretch with Christmas now just five days away. I did manage to get most of my shopping done over the weekend and that’s a huge relief. I’m looking forward to a short easy week as most of my clients are on vacation through the New Year.

My stepdad is Italian, loves to cook, and is very well known for his pasta sauce. But when the holidays come along he turns into a peanut brittle making machine. He loves to make it for friends & family and every year I’m blown away at how good it is. The weird part is, he makes it in the microwave! Seriously. And it’s the best damn peanut brittle you’ll ever have. Pair that with some hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps and you have a very happy holiday.
