Austin Cindric Daytona 500 Winner

It’s Monday. Nascar kicked off its 2022 season with the 64th running of the Daytona 500. It was a sold out show that marked the first official race for Nascar’s next generation car. It was a fun race to watch, very competitive right down to a narrow finish. It was rookie Austin Cindric who took the checkers, beating Bubba Wallace to the line by only 0.036 seconds. It’ll be interesting to see how well Austin does this season. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more from him.

I caught the closing ceremony of the Olympics last night. I’m a little bummed that they’re over, I was really enjoying checking in every night to see what was happening. Next up are the Summer games in Paris 2024.

Our temperature shot up to 50 degrees yesterday so everything melted and it’s now a sloppy mess. Not exactly February weather but it beats the hell out of the horrid white stuff and temperatures in the teens.
