This is freaky! Honda recently revealed Honda Riding Assist, a technology that allows a motorcycle to self-balance without the help of a rider. Instead of using a gyroscope, it self-balances by moving the front forks forward and back. It also comes equipped with a “follow the rider” function, which allows the bike to automatically follow the rider by simply tapping on the front fender. This feature could be useful when maneuvering the bike through tight areas. Honda hopes this technology will help riders to safely and easily maneuver bigger and heavy bikes at slow speeds in heavy city traffic. Personally, I can’t wait for the first time I see one on the street come to a complete stop with the rider’s feet still on the foot pegs!
